Q:
I paint. I love to paint. I live to paint. I dream about painting, and if I couldn't paint, I'm not sure I would want to live. Unfortunately, I rarely get to paint. All these years I have dreamed of doing something with my art because I believe it is a divine gift. I do have some ideas, but life is hectic (I take care of my 87 year old father as well as the most wonderful, and helpless, husband in the world), and my house is filled clutter and unorganized.
Whenever I've mentioned my dreams about my painting, I've gotten responses such as, "But, that's not important!" I know this is my own fault. I should never even bring up what I hope to do, I should just do it and show up with the art work already completed. Now I am armed with your books, your DVD, and all my notes from here you speak a women’s conference recently. Where do I start?
A:
I have just one request of you: PLEASE paint! Paint to your heart's content! Your passion for painting is a gift from God. What you do with it is your gift to God and the world. Your purpose in life may be inspiring others through your creative gift. It doesn't matter what others think. The ones who don't support your dream just don't get it. Don’t even give them the opportunity to place seeds of doubt in your mind. You can change that today! Will you make space in your life to paint? Clear a spot, get out your paint and brushes (or buy some new ones for inspiration!), and let your divine gift flow through you. You will bless so many and find satisfaction and joy in your work.
