Oprah Winfrey’s father is being accused of threatening to kill his wife.
Barbara Winfrey says Vernon Winfrey has been cheating throughout their 12-year marriage and has threatened to take her life, say divorce documents filed in Tennessee, reports Radar Online.
The soon-to-be ex-wife even went public with the matter.
“I know what is going on. I’m tired of it, and I’ve had enough,” she told WSMV-TV.
Surprisingly, Vernon Winfrey is the one who filed for divorce on June 22, just five days after their wedding anniversary.
He cited irreconcilable differences.
But she quickly retorted the accusations and said he was “guilty of inappropriate marital conduct.”
She also claims her husband forced her to leave their residence with no place to go.
Barbara is seeking alimony.
