---

10:54 a.m.: Welcome, welcome, welcome ... let the movement begin!

10:56 a.m.: Thanks for attending our live blog party. Thanks for your questions and comments.  And for those of you who keep asking: No, he isn't and no, he wasn't.

10:57 a.m.: Like all of our live blog parties, we will have drinking games. I know it's a little early to be consuming spirits, but this is a special day. so everytime you hear the word "empowerment" mentioned, take a sip.

10:58 a.m.: The big show is about to start. And please let Sybil and J. know that I AM in church.

11:01 a.m.: Are you watching the broadcast? How's my hair? I know it pales next to Rev. Al's.

11:02 a.m.: It's a full-house, and these people are not playing. Like you, they do not want to hear the same old thing. They want answers and solutions. But they need to loosen up!

11:03 a.m.: We should have had J.Anthony Brown come out and warm up the audience. If we weren't in church, I would suggest that we show his video, which you can still check out on BlackAmericaWeb.com. But, I digress ...

11:05 a.m.: Okay, y'all - here we go.

11:06 a.m.: Tom is busy on stage. I'm his producer, Nikki Woods, and I'll be taking over for him for a while.

11:08 A.M.: The show has started, and we're inviting you to start sending your comments right away. Please don't leave Tom hanging ... we've got two hours to fill!

Okay, Tom is back - for a few minutes.

11:11 a.m.: Hey, y'all. How did I do? Have you voted since the presidential election? If you haven't? Why not?

11:14 a.m.: Do you feel like the major national issues actually touch your community? Health care reform? The stimulus package?

11:24 A.M.: That sister set it off. She has an alternative for the Tea Parties - the Cocoa Parties!

Everything was so much better when the government used to provide summer jobs and programs for youth in the community. If you were a young person before the Reagan administration, you probably had one of those jobs. What was .....

The unemployment bill shuts out millions of minorities and others known as the "99ers,” unemployed 99+ weeks. The black unemployment rate is more than twice of the white unemployment rate. We need to PUSH congress to include 99ers in the extended benefits bill or to write a bill that will! These citizens and families have lost their savings and are in great danger. This is a national emergency! 100,000 more citizens joined the 99ers this past week! Join"The 99ers group: www.linkedin.com. Our action strengthens our President's position to get Congress straight!.

Maybe you do not remember the listeners who helped you get to where you are today. I bet about fifteen years ago it was not white women listeners that made you as successful as you are today. It was MOORS and mostly female MOORS. I wish you and Sybil continues great success..PEACE and ALL HONORS

None of us is perfect and I believe there is special place in HELL for nbc’s like brown. Love white folks all you want but keep your sickening comment about the MOORS. Are there female MOORS that are BAD yes Are there male MOORS that are bad. But that crap you are promoting is uncalled for and destructive. It really makes all the other great things you all are doing meaningless. I hope my friends and I can continue to support your endeavors and we are all (so called “black women”) Moors.

But since he has the mic his empty headed comments are heard all over the world now why do you continue to support and broadcast that crap he spews about Moors. Since ms. brown is ugly fat over hyped he cannot act and looks like he stinks I am glad he is with white women and I am glad no Moor will have to be bothered with his stupidity. If it all is a show and pretend. I do not see the entertainment in you putting down and making derogatory statement about female Moors. I am requesting that you stop putting us down.

and I could stomach that cause for each his or her own. But I had to comment on his sickening put down of the female Moors. He is very much entitled to his opinion on that matter, but after all the Moors have through at the hands of the Romans I think his comment add to the distain this society have for our women. If your show was as small as it was back in the days before mr. jabrown I would not see it as so much of a problem. But you are nationally promoting his ignorance and mean remarks. WE can sometimes be our own worst enemy mr. brown has never been relevant or funny to me.
