POCLT is the problem. Just like the book "OOPS PEOPLE OF COLOR LIVE THERE" said racism is very subtle, but now always.
What I wanna know is why make such a gesture and not have the gumption to own up to it! At least in the south, when White folks don't like you, they don't hide and hang nooses, they hold it in their hand so you can know who your enemy is! Does there have to be another Brian Denehy before these cowards realize all people of color will not stand for the nonsense!
It's kind of sad, though, that 30 years have passed and attitudes haven't changed much.
There are a lot of ignorant people in this country and those people won't change. I learned this back in the early 80s when I was in college witnessing racist crap on campus. When ignoramuses are interfering with your progress or civil rights, you have to fight. When they're just being stupid (i.e., by hosting a "Compton Party") but it's not impeding your progress, you have to let the ignorance roll off your back and stay focused on your goal. However, the noose hangers should be expelled.
