No more money to school or teachers, let the parents of these communities step up via tax levies and participate and assist their students and communities. Then we can recruit quality teacher with the moral fiber to teach our students.
Teachers need to be paid for the time that they invest into their students. It is a very difficult job that is not appreciated nor respected. Educators are the foundation for everything. Show us the money!
Our children don't perform well on tests that are biases and based upon information to which they have had no exposure. Black children are just as intelligent as anyone else and have proven this many times when they have been adequately prepared.
Build better parents. If you have the school front doing its' job and the parents doing their job, there is nooo way for a child to NOT succeed. You must attack the problem from both sides.
Pay very careful attention the title of this article: "Obama Offers States Money for Improving Schools". Obama does NOT have the money to GIVE to anyone. The only way government GETS money is to TAKE if from someone else.
Secondly, teachers/schools should be doing this anyway with no extra incentive.
