I feel for Detroit in this article, but I'd like to point out some erroneous information: the city worker signs.
These signs can be found anywhere (though the punishment may differ). It's not about crime spiraling out of control. It's a threat-of-punishment set in place to deter dangerous drivers from hitting and killing/injuring city workers while on the job. Having these signs up can possibly mitigate outgoing worker's comp. by preventing accidents through fear of recrimination. It's not an odd example, it's just mishandled information.
Anyway, best of luck, Detroit!
i will pray for david bing to help detroit's problems. ever since kilpatrick messed up city's finances, detroit has been downhill for a longtime.we want every black politican to be successful(rgardless if they are democrat or republican) but if i were him, get the books and see where is the money.
DIVAREALTOR"Simple solution, get the government to write you a check"
Better solution, have Detroit give account for monies already spent; evaluate the efficiency/effectiveness of government operations there before sending a single dime. Also, impose strict oversight on any future moneys sent. Question, who ran Detroit into the ground? Make them pay. I don’t live in Detroit, and should not have to fund, on any level, its incompetence.
Okay, this is not too terribly hard to figure out. Now if ACORN was alotted $53 million for its political businesses and now ACORN is being considered for another $8.5 Billion Dollars for unaccountable business, and this money is coming from the government, then why is it such an issue or problem for the government to****ist the City of Detroit with $300 Million? Simple solution, get the government to write you a check
Detroit has been on a downward spiral since the riots of the sixties.
